Abstract
In February 1958,
during the tumultuous post-independence years, the Minangkabaus in West Sumatra
province, who were very unhappy with the policy of the central
government, sent an ultimatum to Prime Minister Djuanda, demanding
a.o. the reinstallment of Soekarno-Hatta dual leadership, absolution of he
Indonesian Communist Party, and the resign of the Djuanda parliamentarian
cabinet.
